Meeting Publication

Due to the proliferation of the so-called “meetings” which in reality are not, but rather “small gatherings of friends” who meet for breakfast, lunch, or simply to talk about their hobby, the management of xapes.net is forced to take the following decision:

Only events that have always been considered meetings (currently there are more than 10,000) will be recognized as such, meaning events held in towns or public spaces open to everyone who wishes to attend, where exchanges can take place lasting a whole morning, or even an afternoon, and always on weekends or holidays.
Others, under the excuse of lunches, dinners, breakfasts, bottle exchanges in a parking lot with the car hood open, or gatherings of four acquaintances held during the week without the possibility of everyone attending, the corresponding cava, marquistas or regional plaques, bottled or not, will be considered “PCs” or even “out of catalog”.
These changes are necessary because the concept of an exchange meeting has deteriorated over time, and we believe that many plaques do not deserve the ET or CO classification, always thinking of true collectors and not the business of a few.
Those interested in continuing with these “gatherings” will only be able to announce them in the forum, not in the “Meetings” section.

Since many meeting plaques presented as new limited editions turn out not to be so, but rather agreements between the meeting organizers and the wineries, all plaques submitted as meeting editions, even if claimed to be limited edition, will be classified as ET. And if necessary, after further investigation, they may then be reclassified as limited edition. We will not accept the winery’s word alone, as experience has shown that wineries say whatever suits them best or whatever they have agreed upon with the meeting organizers.
